Vehicle Wrapping Film is a product from the market-leading vinyl suppliers Metamark.<\/span><\/p>\n

Made from a Soft Cast 50 micron film. When over-laminated with our matching 40 micron cast gloss laminate, the material doubles in strength but still keeps its suppleness and workability. This product is supported with a grey solvent acrylic adhesive which helps defuse dark background colours.<\/span><\/p>\n

We also offer a\u00a0<\/span>lower cost wrap vinyl<\/span><\/a>, a very good product for wraps with shallow recesses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cast manufacturing process<\/span><\/h2>\n

Cast vinyl printing differs from other printed vinyl<\/a>. Cast vinyl is much more conformable to shapes and curves than calendared vinyl. The basic calendering process of cheaper vinyls sends the film through rollers where heat and pressure create the vinyl film. Once a calendared vinyl has been formed, the material wants to keep its original shape. The process of producing Cast vinyl is different from calendering and more and costly. High-performance Cast vinyl is manufactured on Casting lines. The high grade heated vinyl is sprayed onto large silicon sheets. The vinyl is then left to settle and form by itself without heat and pressure. The result is vinyl with little memory. The memory of the vinyl is then set once it’s been ‘super heated’ upon installation. Superheating or baking is a process carried out by wrap installers, heating the vinyl just below the point where it starts to blister. Cast vinyl, when correctly installed, shouldn’t move or ‘pop’ from deep recesses. Calendared vinyl will always pull away from recesses because the vinyl memory was set when it was manufactured.<\/span><\/p>\n

Custom Printed wrap vinyl<\/span><\/h2>\n

We print our custom digitally printed wrap vinyl using the latest in large format printing technology. The maximum print width is 1320mm, with larger sections being supplied in panels with overlap.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cast vinyl lamination<\/span><\/h2>\n

We gloss laminate our Cast vinyl as standard. Once printed, cast vinyl requires time to ‘gas out’ or ‘outgas’ as it is also known. Gassing out refers to the process of allowing solvent gasses to evaporate before lamination. Without outgassing, cast vinyl wraps can fail and weaken the adhesive side of the vinyl. When ordering printed cast vinyl, please allow four working days for delivery. Laminating ensures your prints keep looking bright and colourful for years to come. Laminating protects the print from fading and scratches to the solvent print surface.<\/span><\/p>\n
